Load a recording that is too quiet and slide the boost control upwards — you can go well past 100%, up to five times the original level. The three-band equalizer then shapes the tone: lift the bass for warmth on a thin phone recording, adjust the mid band to bring a voice forward or push it back, and add treble for clarity and presence. Leave the clipping protection on for large boosts; it catches peaks that would otherwise distort.
