Screen & Webcam Recorder

Record your screen, a window, a browser tab or your webcam with optional audio, then download the video. Capture happens entirely on your device — nothing is uploaded.

How to Use the Screen & Webcam Recorder

Choose what you want to capture first: Screen / tab lets you share your whole display, a single application window or one browser tab, while Webcam records straight from your camera. Leave the audio option ticked if you want narration; your browser will ask for microphone access, and when you share a tab or your whole screen most browsers also offer a checkbox to include the system sound. Press Start recording, pick the source in the dialog your browser shows, and a live preview with a running timer appears on the page.

When you are finished, press Stop recording — or use your browser's own stop-sharing button — and the finished clip loads into the player below so you can watch it back immediately. Click the download button to save the file to your device; it arrives as MP4 where your browser supports that, and otherwise as WebM, which plays in every modern browser and uploads fine to YouTube and other platforms. The whole capture stays in memory on your own machine, so no footage is ever sent to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my recording a WebM file instead of MP4?
The recorder uses whichever format your browser can encode. Chrome and Edge on most devices produce MP4, while Firefox and some versions record WebM. Both play everywhere and can be converted later if a specific app requires MP4.
Can it record system sound as well as my voice?
That depends on the browser and platform. In Chrome and Edge on desktop, the share dialog has a 'Share tab audio' or 'Share system audio' option — tick it and that sound is mixed into the recording alongside your microphone.
